Jeff D Borchardt alleged advocacy revolves around stalking,, cyber bullying and threats with his latest tactic involving encouraging victims of pit bulls to sue councils that fail to implement breed specific legislation unfortunately this would set a precedent literally opening the litigation flood gates for all victims, as victims of non banned breeds would naturally be able to sue councils with breed specific legislation for not protecting them too the only people that would benefit would be the lawyers?
For instance Mr Borchardt you openly and publicly campaigned in support of Aurora keeping their restrictions on pit bulls using your logic anyone having been the victim of a non banned breed since that vote should be able to sue Aurora's council members, you and Bsl supporters as well?
If you're wanting to torture your sense with some of Lori's typical dbo tainted propaganda pieces by all means follow her link supplied by Jeff a short perusal of her work will soon explain why she used to get her Tittys out to draw attention to her cause, thankfully she doesn't do that anymore! lol!
Except for Tres Roeder and Nancy Moore, who voted in favour of a ban, all others voted against. The next time there’s a pit bull attack in Shaker Heights that could have been avoided if BSL had been implemented, these people should be held personally and legally responsible: Sean Malone, Anne Williams, Rob Zimmerman, Julianna Johnston Senturia and Earl Williams, Jr.
Exactly six months before this decision was made, 71-year-old Annie Williams was mauled to death by someone’s pit bull in Shaker Heights. On July 12, 2015, her seven- and eight-year-old great-granddaughters, along with a 13-year-old relative, witnessed the ferocious attack on their family’s beloved matriarch. Williams died from the bite wounds to her neck, throat and body. A mere four days earlier, 38-year-old Matthew Brigmantas also lost his life after being assaulted by a pit bull type dog in Hamilton, Ont.
It becomes abundantly clear when dealing with Mr Borchardt he's a grief stricken parent letting his need for revenge get in the road of what he knows is the right thing to do, anyone not in denial can do the research and quickly affirm that breed specific legislation has not worked in any municipality that's tried it world wide and that is why every legitimate main stream animal organization in the world rejects Bsl and even the American Bar Association released a resolution advising that it be abandoned.
This comprehensive recommendation is accompanied by an extensive report detailing the legion of problems associated with breed specific regulation, including significant questions of due process; waste of government resources[i]; documented failure to produce safer communities[ii]; enforcement issues connected with identifying the dogs to be regulated or seized[iii]; and infringement of property rights.
The complete resolution and accompanying report can be read by clicking here.
The American Bar Association (ABA), founded in 1878, considers itself to be the world’s largest voluntary professional organization, with some 400,000 members. In addition to being dedicated to accrediting the nation’s law schools and providing practical resources for legal professionals, the ABA prides itself in working to improve the administration of justice.
This relatively small group of less then 20 individuals work 24/7 relentlessly trolling the internet trying to sell breed specific legislation while fear mongering promoting dis information and in many cases stalking and cyber bullying those that disagree with them, they are hard core haters exhibiting all the behaviors consistent with mental illness. There's many different options available in the approach to curbing the dog bite related fatalities with the consensus being "Breed Netral Legislation" focused on owners and not breeds.
Maryland Passes Breed Neutral Dog Bite Liability .
Unfortunately there's a small group driven by hate and revenge and blinded by cynophobia promoting breed specific legislation using disinformation, cyber bullying and fear mongering sensationalizing the issue prompting people to act on their emotions instead of their heads the fact is if their catch cry "it's in their genes" had any merit whatsoever wouldn't all dog bite related fatalities involve pit bulls and not just 62% of them.
Breed Specific Legislation where it is enacted has caused and/or contributed to elevated numbers of pit bull type dogs being euthanize in shelters with the numbers in the hundreds of thousands for 2 years running and yet in that same period the death toll surpassed the national average for the previous two decades by 100% which seems to indicate that pit bulls are not the problem anyone attributing this problem to any particular breed or type of dog is either extremely naive or being deliberately misleading and probably has ulterior motives.
more to come.....
