  • Laila Brunet "Somebody gets shot"?? Is this group about education or something else?? It's ok to shoot people now??? The other day someone mentioned "abortionists" as being the same as pitbulls because they are both "baby shredders". Views on abortion should not be...See More

  • Laila Brunet Ok, it's possible. But he wrote "somebody". Usually that's a person. He didn't right "the dog" or "the attacking dog" or "the pitbull".

  • Laila Brunet I understand, you already explained yourself. And I repeat that to me, "somebody" sounds like a person.

  • Rachel Simas The 'somebody' in mike's comment is the person being attacked by the pit bull, thus he said the pit bull should be shot, not someone should be shot if a loose pit bull attacks.

  • Julie Wall I bring up break sticks every chance I get. It is very shocking to the public and you can see the light bulb goes off that these are not safe family pets for our neighborhoods where innocent children and other people's beloved pets live.

  • Jean Olszewski Can anyone show pictures of dog breeds that a break stick would be of no use for ?

  • Josh Anthony I don't understand why bite sticks are offensive to pit owners. They are a tool but I guess it would mean that a tool is needed and that is unacceptable to them.

  • Gwendolyn Hanan Jean Olszewski, log on to the AKC site, the vast majority qualify for your filter. The ones that need a break stick will be immediately obious.

  • Dusty Brown Josh, Pit owners find break sticks offensive because it is a tool designed for use on Pit Bulls and owning one is recommended by reputable Pit Bull rescues and real Pit Bull lovers that know and love the breed for what it is, not for some nice pibble fantasy as conjured up in the minds of so many nutters. The use of break sticks is discouraged with other breeds of dogs and use on normal breeds is strongly NOT recommended. When one brings up break sticks, it signifies that Pit Bulls are not like other breeds of dogs that will voluntary release their victim by use of commands, yells, grabbing collars or tails, well placed kicks, etc., unlike Pit Bulls. The break stick is fast becoming a universal sign that Pit Bulls are dangerously not like normal breeds of dogs, and among Pit nutters, that translates into different which means dead. One of the main goals of those that spearhead the Pit Bull advocacy is to present false information to create the illusion that the Pit Bull is a normal dog breed like any other and therefore should not be targeted by BSL.

  • Josh Anthony I know all about them. I was lied to by a shelter about a pit I was fostering. I went and learned how to use it just in case. This pit was nuts and untrustworthy. So, that is when I started researching this topic.
